Converted Huey to ewv and it came out really well, better than TW . Can be hard to get those rescued back to extraction but take a different route, it helps. Laughing

Laughing I played it once and all went fine. Second time around the 3rd pilot started acting up and refused to go a certain route so i told the first 2 to stay put and took him back around a different route and he behaved himself. Must have wanted a guided tour  Surprised  Confused

Good part about escort missions in EWV is you can send them ahead to clear the way or draw out the enemy  Twisted Evil

Pathfinding issues in the EWV version also?  Sad

How unfortunate.  I just stated my frustration in the TW forum about pathfinding issues in the TW version.

I will sort it by having items to retrieve rather than pilots. Working on it now  Cool New versions on the way.

Hmm, I just provided some input on the TW forum.  Laughing

Mainly it was the fact collecting items being the simplest route rather than re-doing the map; but it would take away some of the challenge.

Well the map is updated, the pilots have all gone back to base but left behind some very important items because the enemy is carrying them and could not be located so your job is to go in there, locate those choppers and retrieve those items.
Had to make some new files for those items as EWV doesn't have them in GameData/Items folder so anyone making a map in future for EWV can add them to his or her mission.
Also to get the enemy to carry them is quite a new/old idea as i think it has only been used one or two times before.
You can pick them up or leave them as found. I think it makes it a bit more interesting to collect them

I have only done the TW version so far so the EWV version will be totally "new."

I think "collecting" the items only becomes an issue if it takes up an inventory slot.  This is especially an issue when first-aid kits may be limited and not found on the enemy.  Yes, yes.  I know.  The trick is not to be spotted or get shot in the first place.  Laughing

Yes a great idea there, shoot enemy who have a knife to collect health, another new idea emerges.

Tried binoculars in TW, and EWV but it failed to work as did the using the camera in game to take photos as objectives like Whiteout in DD2. Works fine in LOSV as well.
I tried it taking photos of the choppers in Huey and it worked fine, but only in LOSV.

Just finished Huey_EWV.  Very similar to TW version as it was Lone Wolf. Enemy AI seemed to be a little more aggressive and they would come searching for me climbing up embankments, etc.  Possibly coincidence, the enemy also seemed to be tougher as many took two shots when they were one-shot kills in the TW version.  Same "Locat" typo and "Get all squad members to the exit zone" objective mentioned in TW forum.

On the subject of inventory slots.  I did collect the items in both versions.  After all, that is the true objective.

  As for the ability for enemy to drop things.  Is it possible for the enemy to drop an actual first aid kit?  You know, one-in-five, one-in-ten, whatever.
